Hello from Ithaca!
We hope you all had a happy New Year. And with any luck you spent it like Regional Access driver Adam Potenza did in the picture above… with friends, a drink or two, and one giant leg of perfectly cooked pork. The biggest year ever for Regional Access would not be complete without a moment to reflect, be thankful… and eat something amazing.
We have three big ideas for January. The first is the debut of Ithaca Hummus for distribution. Ever since we met Christopher Kirby well over a year ago when he was first testing some recipes we have been blown away by his steady progress and relentless improvement of his products and his Ithaca Hummus brand. This January he is debuting sharp new labels to go along with the best tasting hummus we have ever had. Not only that but its gluten free and non-pasteurized but the 3 available flavors are loaded with great ingredients like fresh lemon juice, dill, garlic, and smoky chipotles. This is a locally made product that can effortlessly out-compete the national brands on flavor, price, and shelf appeal.
The second is sale pricing on Betty Acres Farm cave aged hard cheese. We held back on this cheese last fall knowing supplies were limited but we now have in our hands a just matured batch that we are thrilled to be able to offer to our entire customer base (not just the lucky few who pre-booked last summer). You can ask your sales rep for a sample of either the Spanish inspired “Delchego” or the paprika and olive oil rubbed tomme style “St. Placide” at your leisure.
And for the third I hope you will join us in counting down the days until the release of new Maple Hill Creamery Greek Style yogurt. You have a lot of choices on where to source this so why not ask your Regional sales rep for an opening discount so you can get it cheaper from us?
