September and October promos and new products are here! I hope you missed hearing from us in August, and that you were as busy as we were! All we can do to make amends for the missing month is to come on with as much awesome food as we can for the next round that lasts from September to October.
We are excited to begin a soft launch for our new relationship with Transatlantic Foods. Transatlantic is home to the Aux Délices des Bois brand of Pennsylvania made charcuterie and butters, and its also home to the founding partners Therry Farges and François Baumont: two gentleman who we can say without question are as quality and flavor obsessed as you are. It has been a delight to get to know them and their staff, especially Amy and Cynthia who have been making sure our fulfillment and marketing ducks are in a row for this exciting debut.
Crooked Carrot Community Supported Kitchen is a local as it gets… we can see their home base at Stick and Stone Organic Farm from our office windows. Silas and the CC crew have made some intensely flavorful live culture pickled products. The escabeche was the best we have had anywhere, and is even better than any in Southern California. That is not praise we hand out lightly, and they have 5 other awesome products including kimchi, curried carrots, garlic scapers, and a seasonally available apple kraut. Continue reading →
Good Life ginger is harvested fresh and delivered to Regional Access the same day. As a tropical plant grown in the much shorter season of the Northeast, it is a perishable product and is different than the cured ginger we generally find in the store. Young ginger lends a flavor and freshness to dishes that surpasses cured ginger, as well as opening up more opportunities for culinary experimentation. Consider trying it raw- grated into greens and root salads- cooked into vegetable dishes or in tea, ginger beer, glazes, sauces etc. Deliveries start the week of 10/01/12 so email firstname.lastname@example.org reserve some today!
What a hot summer its been! We feel for our local farmers who have been struggling with high heat and no rain. We do have some limited fresh local produce available for direct sales from our next door neighbors at Stick and Stone Organics Farm and Summer Times Farm in Ovid, NY. You can ask your sales rep to be added to the automated weekly email of our offerings or call our sales staff. If you want some more variety we are happy to link you up with our freight partners! They handle the sales and billing, and your order will show up on a Regional Access truck on the same day as your regular order. You may contact each directly:
