As we all do our best to navigate the response to the Covid-19 virus, keep our people safe, and our businesses viable we are encountering a very high spike in demand. While we are doing our best to ensure that you get what you need, it is likely that we will encounter unforeseen shortages from our suppliers and may need to allocate items. As always, we will endeavor to alert you in time before your delivery and will offer any substitutions we have available, however, we are asking for a bit of patience if we miss that mark as we are operating with a smaller staff.
We are taking extra precautions to maintain sanitary conditions for all of our staff. Employees are encouraged to take their temperature daily and stay home if they are above the acceptable range. Those who feel vulnerable will be encouraged to stay home and we will work with them to make sure they have the resources they need. Gloves will be worn by drivers, and sanitary wipes used to maintain a clean truck at each stop. Frequent handwashing will be mandatory, and trucks and the warehouse will be cleaned daily with an alcohol solution.
We understand there is a natural urge to place larger than normal orders as panic over shortages sets in. We are trying to discourage this, as this causes undue stress on our suppliers as they are continually trying to meet increased demand. This has a cascading effect, and will lead to stock outages for others. We encourage everyone to stay level headed, and we can help make sure everyone gets what they need in a timely fashion. Delivering healthy food to those in need is now more important than ever.
Additionally, if anything changes with the status of your business (closing, delivery specifics, etc.), please alert us as soon as you are able. We will do everything we can to accommodate and work with you. Please stay safe, stay healthy, and we will all get through this together!
