As we begin the next phase in the reopening process, we would like to highlight some restaurants who have weathered the Covid storm. Located in Asbury Park, Nj, Talula’s has been a loyal customer since their inception. They are now open all week for outdoor dining, and with Cookman Ave. closed Thursday through Sunday, they will be able to add a fun street setup. Join the block party this weekend!
The hearth is at the heart of Talula’s, replicating the homespun spirit of the age-old, wood-burning oven. The menu revolves around their sourdough bread and pizza, but you’ll also find seasonal salads, hearty wheat-free grain bowls, pasta, made-in-house desserts and a full bar featuring craft beer, cocktails and an all natural Italian wine list. They pickle, ferment, make and bake everything in house including their ice cream and many of their dairy and dairy free cheeses. They always have vegan options on the menu and many of their non-vegan items can be made vegan by substituting their housemade vegan mozzarella or cashew ricotta.
They recommend reservations as seating will be limited, you can easily book by clicking “reserve” on their @talulaspizza Instagram profile or by using the Resy reservations app. Six people max per reservation. Obligatory note to wear your mask, and be respectful and patient with the staff, this is unfamiliar territory for everyone.
If you are near Asbury Park, Talula’s is a must visit!
